Wingfoil Essaouira: How It Works and Why Here
Wingfoiling is a fast-growing way to fly above the water. You hold an inflatable wing in your hands and stand on a board fitted with a hydrofoil, and once you have enough speed the foil lifts the board out of the water so you glide in near silence. It mixes the wind skills of kitesurfing and windsurfing with the balance of surfing, which is why windsurfers, kitesurfers and surfers are all getting into it.

The wing
A handheld inflatable wing with no lines. You control the power by angling it to the wind, which feels intuitive if you already windsurf or kitesurf.
The board and foil
A board with a mast and wings underneath. When you reach enough speed the foil lifts the board, and the ride becomes smooth and quiet.
The wind window
Wingfoiling often works in lighter wind than kitesurfing, which widens the number of days you can be on the water.
In your first sessions our instructors cover all three: wing handling, balance on the foil and transitions. Then you build on them at your own pace.
